After working for more than 40 years in the Seattle area as a blacksmith, machinist, and inspector, I retired and relocated to Kennewick. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and using machinery to make whatever might be needed. It was a natural progression to start turning  wood. What a pleasure it is to shape form and finish a natural material that has so many variations in color, grain, and texture. Most of my works are simple shapes with an emphasis on the finish, with the intent to create a piece that is as pleasing to hold as it is to behold. To make a bowl, an art project, or a simple toy for a child, this is the joy of retirement!
