About the artist:
I've spent many hours of my life creating a work of art in one way or another, beginning at the stage of infancy. Creating has always been a part of me. It is a necessary ingredient in my life which helps me mentally, socially, physically and spiritually. Creating is my life medicine.......and I'm addicted!!
I studied art at a more conceptual level in my early twenties and was taught to question "what is art?" How and why does this outwardly physical and visual movement inspire and intrigue so many - - especially with so much variation in the end result. There is no such thing as typical when it comes to art. Like so many things in life there is a left and right, up and down, top and bottom, right and wrong, beginning and end........ black or white. Art transcends those ideas and leaves me eternally intrigued.
I've begun to reevaluate, reconsider and almost misunderstand everything I've ever created prior to my ultimate question in art. No painting, drawing or sculpture was ever truly just for fun. There is and always have been an ultimate reason for everything. Every color, material, placement and movement are presented for a deeper reason than aesthetics alone which continues to lead me to the ever progressing examination of my art and the art in my world.
I have dabbled in all sorts or mediums and genres throughout my lifetime. I have created sculptures, paintings, drawings and photography. I have also done quite an amount of work in performance art and land art. As a whole most of my work consists of movement in a simplistic way, typically represented through lines or spirals. or visual aspects that depict motion, activity and flow. It's all an expression of movement essentially derived from emotion.
